FAKE SITE: LIVEYAZ.COM SKYPEEPSHOW.COM DIDN'T SENT MY PAYMENT! FOR TWO WEEKS ! AND JUST 67 CREDITS NOT A BIG AMOUNT ! SHAME! USERNAME: Blondie
I am giving a 1-Star overall, because before I could even complete the verification process they removed my account stating that "Several members reported your picture as not being you." Which is weird b/c it is MY picture that I took myself that day for that profile. They would not even let me prove to them it was me and said I could not contact them to fight the removal. I find that a bit ridiculous. What site doesn't let you contact them? Poor model support.
They are strange!! I have tried a couple of times since to have a profile with different photos and they do the same thing. Sigh. At least I am kicking butt on the other 2 sites I am on
I am submitting my pics and verification for the LAST time before I give them a 1 star review for this.
If your going to want to webcam on there good luck.. Havent even had 1 private ever. I give up

I've been with SM since the beginning, and what used to be the best cam site, is now like the old PCamZ. They used to pay for advertising, which in turn meant the traffic was steady and most users would give tips or join a show. About six weeks ago the traffic dried up instantly, without any warning. I'm online most days, and have always been successful. After two weeks of troubleshooting my equipment and trying different ISP providers, and another location, I contacted support, which is a joke. Of course they sent me a link to their FAQ page and then a troubleshooting site. I called the owner on the phone, who is apparently no longer in the loop, his words, not mine, and he wasn't aware of any issues. He suggested I contact Liz, who is never helpful, and explain to her what the problem is. After two weeks of "the tech team is actively looking into resolving your issues", I get a very long winded response. They admitted my concerns were accurate and what I suggested the problem might be, which is a dead server, is not unfounded. After explaining the problem that I already found for them, they said it's out of their hands and they cannot do anything for me. Oh, but they suggested I try a different webcam.... that is their only suggestion because I tried 2 computers (a mac and a windows), 3 different internet providers and 2 locations.... so obviously, it is my in house equipment.
I follow enough SM ladies on Twitter to know that it's a site wide issue and not just isolated to my account. For weeks their have been weird glitches for some models and a lack of traffic ($$) for others.
I wonder if they've stopped putting money into the company and they're just not telling us because we'd all stop supporting SM and find a new place.
If you're new to the cam industry, I suggest you find several sites to use and don't waste your time on SM.

I agree, Streamate has no support. They leave their money makers out to starve. Which also shoots themselves in the foot, since we bring in the revenue.
I've been in Ohio for the past year, haven't had any difficulty at all with my shows or signals. It's slower than usual right now, but it's summer so I'm not concerned. My regs are showing up, and I'm making a point to only work when there's a good chance I'll be busy (Sat/Sun mornings, and very late nights), so I'm doing ok.
I've read your blog post too, about your trials through all this. Is there any chance that there is a major service outage or problem on the signal paths between Texas & Seattle? Denver? Salt Lake? San Francisco? Reno? Vegas? or the like. Something where all your signals are being fucked with on the way to SM's Seattle servers? That's about all I can think of, because from Ohio to Seattle signal seems ok. I haven't experience any of what you're talking about. I know that probably doesn't make you feel any better =p But it gives another piece to the puzzle.
PS: I don't know that Shawn is in the day-to-day loop anymore because things around SM are changing so fast, with all the new programming for the mobile devices, it's hardly the same old site. I just think much of what's going on these days is just out of his range of knowledge.... but I'm just guessing.
I sure hope it gets corrected. I can't image Streamate without you!
Thank you for your long reply! I wondered if something was effecting my area, even though I've tried 3 providers, but SM said I'm the only Texas lady having issues. With that said, I've spoken to several ladies all over the states who are having the exact same problem. I'm not even making 1/4 what I used to bring in and it's been frustrating taking a hit like that. SM claims today that they are not blaming my ISP and are still actively working to find the problem, which tells me there is something going on. I agree with you that they don't have the knowledge needed to stay on top, but one would think as a business, that they would hire someone. But, that's just me thinking that with the money they make they should reinvest.
The summer months have always been slower, but working more hours has always allowed me to hit targets. The problem I have is no one is finding my room, unless I'm doing a TV show and then the cam site floods my room with 50 viewers.
Thank you for your kind words, and for taking the time to read my long winded blog post. You are a sweetheart!
I hope that you have a very successful week! XO
CHEAP people on this site. Very ammature / beginner style I would personally say from my point of veiw. When you do get taken private you do make a decent amount but like i said cheap people so not many are willing to take you private or tip you.

Like everyone else said, low traffic. Your broadcasting time seems to drastically effect your traffic flow.
The community aspect of it seems to keep clients on their best behavior. I've had lurkers & a few freebie hounds but nobody rude/vulgar.
They have a certain number of requirements they like you to do every month (Forum posts, blog posts, etc.) The pay percentage depends on how active you are on the site & if you are exclusive to them.
I don't think the admin panel is user friendly enough for a brand new camgirl. The setup process seemed lengthy to me & I wasn't prepared to watch a tutorial video for everything I did but its to be expected since this was my very first official cam site.
I'm very glad this was my first site because they make you feel very safe.
I love the geoblocking (you can block zip codes & IPs)
You have complete control over your room & they make reporting members is easy so you can avoid creepers & chargebacks.
Support has always been super quick & I feel like they really try to do everything in their power to help you.

Apparently this site likes to go weeks (or months) without letting their girls cash out. Direct deposit hasn't been available for over a month due to issues they had with their bank, they said you could only cash out through Payoneer but that doesn't work either.
They finally start offering to mail us checks for a $10 fee, not that it matters because I never got the check I requested anyway. Contacted support, got a b/s reply the first time & no reply the second time. Apparently they aren't too busy to immediately give me a "final warning" about something said in a chat but can't be bothered to email me back about a payment issue.
The cam software was wonky whenever I tried using it so I only did custom videos for escrow.
Too bad, I had some amazing customers on there. I was being patient but between no reply from support & girls telling me its happened before, I'm pulling the plug on this experiment.

I started with the company about 2+ years and the traffic is very regular and you can make something every day if you are persistent. They pay when they say they will and everything goes pretty smooth there. There are a variety of customers that like a variety of things. You just have to find your niche and play to your strengths and know that not every guy likes everything, develop a thick skin and keep your eyes on the prize.

i rated the software that low because im not a big fan of encoders. also am i the only one who thinks gold shows should be an option to all models from the moment their profile was approved other the site choosing whether or not u can host a gold show

Please note: I never even made it onto the site because they wouldn't accept my verification photos. I have never had a problem with a site before, and I work almost a half dozen sites currently. AdultWork was just meant to be some extra, supplementary work.
The website as a whole looks like it was created in the late 90s or early 2000s; it's very dated and convoluted.
My first impressions were that it didn't seem like a great place to work (plus I'm in the US, and it's a UK based site, I believe), but it was never going to be a main work site for me; this was a side project.
I will also say that AdultWork has been a nightmare to register with (as of 6/26/2015) and has been the rudest site I've ever worked with.
I hope it is okay to include their correspondence back to me, because their final letter left me horrified.
We have been extremely busy on SM & CB; I also do shows through NF. We do really well for ourselves, and we're gradually adding on other sites that compliment our current business.
I decided to apply to AdultWork on 6/26/2015. I created a profile, filled everything out, etc. I went and uploaded my verification photos, like we've done at a million other sites. I used their very dated web interface to send our pictures in.
They asked for an ID as one file and a photo of me holding up their site name, the date and a member number as a second file. Done.
After our first set of photos went through, they contacted us about 36 hours later and said, "Do it all over again, but now we need you to also hold your ID up to your face as well, because we're not sure it's really you."
Okay, that seemed like a big waste of time. I'd have happily done that to begin with. Even more bothersome, I didn't have a reply email address at this point, so I couldn't communicate back to them. The link they provided sent me back to their web upload tool. So, I took new pictures and sent them in.
After 24 hours, we hadn't received any response. I decided to try and get in touch with someone to see if I couldn't work this out with an actual person. I found one email address in the depths of their help centre, and it was for an address that didn't even match the adult work domain. Their only other contact info was a physical mail address.
I figured it was a worth a shot. So I sent a message to that address.
The response I got back this morning was:
"from: AdultWork.com ; to: [edited for privacy]; date: Mon, Jun 29, 2015 at 12:42 AM; subject: Membership Terminated
Hello
AdultWork.com is a club. We are not required to offer you membership and if we chose to, can refuse to offer it to you.

We have better things to do than police the membership. We do not act unless we are entirely satisfied with our decision and the grounds for it.

This is a closed system, not a public service.
Thank you for any honourable custom that was conducted via the Site. We wish you every success for the future.

The AdultWork.com Team"
That is the absolute most disgusting message I've ever gotten from a site I've tried to register with. It's probably just some form letter that they use, but I feel like my time is pretty valuable and after about 5-6 hours of energy dealing with them, this was an inappropriate response.
My advice is to stay away from this site. There are a lot of better camsite out there.

That IS appalling!
I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I'll be sure to avoid using them.
2 reviews beneath yours DeniseD wrote on May 3, 2015 agreed that not having a way to communicate with them, even for site tech support, is frustrating.
She also mentions the site is being compromised by hackers, so actually I think you've been spared by not being able to work there!
Good luck on finding a new site. You're already on SM, and personally I think they're the best out there.
I had a very similar experience. The first time I sent my verification pics they verified me, but one day I saw on my profile that I can't make some changes if I'm not verified....I sent again my verification pics like 5 times but they still say that they can't be sure with my pics. They sent me an email that says it's a closed club and they can choose, but didn't say about finishing with them...
I'm not sure how they verified tranny girls.... If they can't notice that I'm the same person in all the verification pics (like 5 pics holding my ID)... It's crazy and so disgusting to be treated like that... I'm not sure If I must keep trying or let it go... The customer service is the worst...
Wow! Thank you very much! You have saved me a lot time and frustration even trying to register with this site.
To explain the ratings- Traffic: not new-cam girl friendly, really. You should already have a fan base (like... a rather large one, honestly) before you join this site. Otherwise, you'll never hit the cash-out min. of $100.
As such- I'm not able to rate the payment, nor have I felt the real need to reach out to support, I'm sure they're busy and have their own things to worry about besides helping a newb get traffic.
However, I certainly feel that all the right aspects are there- truly. It also seems that they give you more freedom in the shows you can do- allowing you to TRULY exploit some custies' naughtiest fantasies. I'd love to truly use the site once I have more of a following, more loyal paying clients and those really interested in buying exclusive content, etc. Worth a try if you're well established.
Hi PaleVixen, thank you for the review, we are always here to help on YouKandy should you need any help at all... with regards to traffic we are a fairly new site however our traffic is growing rapidly, which can be seen in our Alexa ratings.

YouKandy Admin and Support
