[b]1) Who are you and for which company do you work? [/b] My name is Robin and I am working for [url=https://www.wecamgirls.com/reviews/xmodels/]Xmodels[/url] as a Studio & Model Manager & Social Media Manager. [b]2) How did you get into the adult industry? How long have you been a part of the industry?[/b] I got in the adult industry by mistake even though I liked to play around as a webmaster before this happened. I never actually thought I would join a company acting in this field. I got called by a HR person and I was asked if I was still available. My aim was online marketing/ sales at that time, almost 4 years ago. They explained what the job was about, I said �Wow, cool, I�m in� and I started working for the biggest live cam site on the web. What about for the cam industry in general?[/b] This is a very good question, every marketer wants to get a step ahead of competition, that�s the beauty of working in this field, to push the limits and raise together with your company. In what regards my own goals, I am aiming for two things, one of them is to create a fun and nice online community through the social media channels and the second is to have a strong and fruitful business relation with all existing and future models and studio owners. The cam industry is slowly shifting for a while towards personal relations between models and members, models that do not understand that the biggest majority of members are joining a cam site not only for watching naked shows they are already losing against those that do. They are looking for people to chat with, to create virtual relations, to share their thoughts, to find somebody to listen even if they have to pay for it. Are you going to introduce new features?[/b] We will soon launch in the US and in the Northern European countries, where we intend, and I am sure we will manage to occupy a good part of the market the same as we do now in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain etc. We are always developing new features for models and for studios. In the middle of October we launched the �Social Media Tool� which allows models to post a text message + picture on their Profile and on Twitter as well with only a click (new social media platforms will be added). Another feature, launched in the same time is the �Private Message� option, with which models can contact via private messages the members that were in their private chat room. Both features are intended to increase interaction, enlarge their fan pool and of course to increase their earnings. [b]5) What are the best and worst things about working for a company that is involved in the cam industry?[/b] I can say that there are only good parts working in a multinational/multicultural company, doesn�t really matter what is the company�s orientation as long as you are in a good team relation and you reach the set targets and goals. It is a bit harder to explain to your elder family members what you are doing, or to your own child, but as long as your job brings satisfaction and offers you the chance to leave from the office with a smile on the face I think that�s pretty awesome. [b]6) What is your off-the-job life like? And do you tell everybody that you work in this industry?[/b] Outside job I like to spend time with my family and on weekends I usually go skydiving which for me is the best stress reliever. In the beginning I tried to hide the fact that I am working in the adult industry, I was just saying I am working in online marketing but after I told my parents and they were cool with it I stopped hiding. Funny thing is that most of the people don�t believe it when you tell them what you do, so there are less explanations to give. [b]7) Do you have any funny stories about working in this type of job? What's the strangest thing that's ever happened to you?[/b] There are a lot of funny and strange stories to tell basically in any field, but in the adult industry, specifically, the stories have a bit more spice due to the sexual nature of it. At one point I wanted to get out of the biz, I put a lot of thought into it and I said to myself: You need to find something which is not adult related, otherwise you won�t manage to build a career and all the studies were in vain. I couldn�t be more wrong, because back then I couldn�t realize what the adult industry has to offer. Anyways, I went to an interview, in the mainstream market, decided to become a real corporatist with suit, tie, leather bag and the whole shabang. Funny part was when the HR person started to ask me what I was doing at my previous job. At first I tried to go around the subject, but she insisted to tell exactly what I was doing. So, I started to explain about the cam industry, about the models, about the members, with details, plenty of details. She wanted it, so I gave it to her. She was simply shocked, her face turned red and I felt she wanted me to stop, but I didn�t, I knew I won�t get the job anyway so I enjoyed the moment. She stood and listened, I went on and on and when I was finally ready with all the details, I asked if there is anything else she wanted to ask. She replied, vaguely: Nope. I went out and I heard the lady telling to her colleagues: That guy works in porn. That made me feel awesome. [b]8) Is there anything you'd like to "clear up" about people that work for camsites?[/b] I consider models working on cam sites the true winners in a society that most of the people consider themselves open minded, but in reality they are not. It is a legal job and it takes a lot of courage, patience, knowledge and empathy. The models that have these skills are usually the ones that stay on top of any cam site and they earn good amounts of money but more over they create strong relations with the site�s members which is one of the most important things for a company running a live chat platform. [b]9) What is your best advice for a new model on your site?[/b] Treat your members good, be social, listen to what they are saying and split your attention equally to whoever is in your chat room. Treat your job as a business and you�ll succeed but also try to have fun.
