What Are Cam4 Tokens?

Tokens serve as the currency within the Cam4 ecosystem, offering users a wide array of features and interactions. With tokens, viewers can: 

• tip broadcasters, 
• send Cam4 Gifts, 
• access Private Shows, 
• and more. 

Tokens are available in different packages, with larger packages offering lower costs per token. Broadcasters have the option to redeem tokens earned during performances for their cash value.

How Does Cam4 Tipping Work?

For Viewers: All Cam4 members can purchase tokens to tip broadcasters as a means of expressing appreciation for their performances. Tipping not only shows support but also provides broadcasters with actual cash. Tokens are available in packages, and the cost per token decreases with larger packages.

For Broadcasters: Cam4 broadcasters can accept tips from viewers. They can monitor their tipping history and earnings through their Broadcasters Dashboard, allowing them to track their performance and engagement with their audience.

Sending Tokens on Cam4

Show or Goal Details: This section provides information about the performer's show description, topics, or goal details if they have been provided for viewers.

Goal Progress Bar: When a goal is set, viewers can track the progress of the goal as tips are sent to the broadcaster. Achieving goals unlocks special performances, encouraging viewer participation.

Quick Tip Buttons: These buttons allow viewers to send tips quickly in chat to the broadcaster, with preset token amounts of 5, 10, 25, or 50 tokens.

Enter Tip Amount: Viewers can enter a custom tip amount to send to the broadcaster, ensuring flexibility in showing appreciation for the show.

Buy Tokens: To replenish token balance, viewers can click this button to purchase more tokens. Cam4 offers various token packages to suit different preferences and budgets.

Different shows on Cam4

On Cam4, both models and users have access to a range of features. The most obvious feature is, of course, the ‘free’ public shows. Here you make money by receiving tips. But there are also other options available: 

• Free chat
• Private show
• Spy show
• Group show
• Gifts

The largest audience you will find at the Free chat. However, there are also more features. One such feature is cam2cam, where customers can participate in a more interactive live video chat experience by requesting a Cam2Cam Private Show. These private shows include full audio and video capabilities, allowing the cam models to see and hear the client as they perform. Cam2Cam is a free feature during Private Shows, requiring no additional tokens for activation. As a cam model, you have control over setting the cost per minute for these private shows.

In a Private Show, other viewers can watch as Spies. Spies pay a fixed amount of tokens per minute to watch the broadcast, but they can't see or join the chat. You can turn Spy Shows on or off in the Private Show Settings window. Remember, enabling Spy Shows is a great way to earn extra tokens and keep viewers engaged while in a Private Show. When you're in a Private Show, your directory thumbnail will have a key-shaped icon, and a message will be shown in your room's broadcast window. Viewers who enter the room while you're in a Private Show can either wait for it to end or watch as Spies.

How do I earn tokens from Private Shows?

Private Shows have variable pricing, you can choose from any of the following for your shows:

• 12 Tokens/Minute, 6 Tokens/Minute Spy
• 18 Tokens/Minute, 6 Tokens/Minute Spy
• 24 Tokens/Minute, 6 Tokens/Minute Spy * (default)
• 24 Tokens/Minute, 12 Tokens/Minute Spy
• 30 Tokens/Minute, 6 Tokens/Minute Spy
• 30 Tokens/Minute, 12 Tokens/Minute Spy

Gifts

Another nice feature is the ability to send and receive Cam4 gifts, virtual gifts that members can purchase and send to broadcasters as a more personal alternative to tips. Each gift has a token value that is added to the recipient's balance upon receipt. For example, receiving a Message in a Bottle is equivalent to receiving a tip of 100 tokens.

Group Shows

Cam4 also offers group shows, where webcammers can offer a more exclusive, private experience to viewers who purchase a ticket. During these shows, models set the ticket cost, token goal and time limit. If the token goal is met within the time limit, ticket holders are led to a private room with exclusive video, audio and chat capabilities. Viewers who have not purchased tickets are directed to a separate chat room without audio or video, just like a regular private show. They can join the group show at any time by purchasing a ticket.
