Good webcams are important for a good show. The question is which one to use? What are the pros and cons of different cams and how about the price? Every week we'll review a new webcam from e.a. Logitech, Microsoft and HP. All cams are in HD of course. The biggest name in the webcam branch is Logitech. They produce great cams and a lot of girls still use the Pro 9000 (which has undeniably been one of the best on the market). But the cam is a couple of years old, what are the newer top models? HP Webcam HD 5210 (high end) The HP Webcam HD 5210 has like the Logitech C920 built-in H.265 video compressing for HD content, to take the workload of your computer. You can do recording at 1980 x 1080 (1080p) pixels for a stunning video quality and natural colors. Too bad that if you want to use it for HD video calling with Skype it only goes up to 720p (maybe this will change with new Skype updates). Still images can be captured at 13 MP which is very nice. Like the HD 3110 it has also three buttons you can use for a snapshot, control video recording and instant chat. The rubber strap makes it easy to attach to a monitor or to let it stand alone. For a crisp and clear sound the cam uses like the C920 stereo mics. The noise cancellation could be a bit better though. The cam doesn't fully rotate. The span is 270 degrees, so you can't turn it all the way. But with the face tracking it's probably more than enough. Although the noise cancellation could be a bit better, this cam is still top notch. It has a shiny look but isn't cheap. You can pick it for less than $70 at Amazon .

Wow 13MP picture capture? That sounds amazing! Skype webcam going down to 720p isn't so bad. Still recording at 1080p for great video quality is amazing. I usually loose cam quality either when I zoom or when I take a photo.

Btw does this have zoom capabilities? I mean of course I can always take the cam down and move it closer but I tend to like clicking the zoom for hands free functionality.
